Love Triangle Turns Deadly for One Rancho Cordova Man

Authorities have arrested the man who called 911 Sunday morning to report that he’d shot someone. The violence erupted at the Park Royal Trailer Park on at 11:27 a.m. Sunday,  January 4th. Officers arrived at the mobile home park near Routier Road and Folsom Blvd. to find the suspect and victim on scene. Victim Darrel Cadinha, 50, was immediately pronounced dead from a single gunshot wound to the head.

 The suspect, 56-year-old Kenneth Mulligan, was waiting outside the home when the officers arrived. He was arrested without incident.  The suspected murder weapon was found by the officers and neighbors say this is not the first time the police have been called to this home in the last month to mediate arguments.

The circumstances relating to the cause of the murder are still under investigation, but friends of the men say the alleged shooter was furious after he found another man inside the trailer, sleeping in the bed of a woman they were fighting over.
