Rise in Car Burglaries Along Parkway
An increase in car burglaries is causing quite a stir along the American River Parkway. One of Rancho Cordova’s greatest assets is being abused by a pair of thieves and making law abiding community members wary of taking advantage all the Parkway has to offer. The break ins have occured in parking lots at River Bend Park, El Manto Access, and Sarah Court.
The suspects are two white males possibly driving a gray Chevy Astro minivan, with unknown plates. Visitors to the Parkway are asked to report any suspicious activity, including the minivan, to the Ranger Dispatch at 875-PARK (7275). If visiting the Parkway, please take your valuables with you. These suspects are not selective with what they steal and have been known to break out car windows for an article of clothing.
The first suspect is a white male adult, approximately 22 years old, 5′ 10″, 200 lbs., short brown hair, blue eyes. The second suspect is also a white adult male, approximately 22 years old, unknown weight, height or hair color. He has only been seen wearing dark hood. In an effort to keep Rancho Cordova safe, please report any suspicious activity, and take the necessary precautions to keep your family and your possessions safe.
