Coroner Reports Robinson Died From Self Inflicted Wound
The 19-year-old Sacramento man identified as Donald Frederick Robinson, has been determined to have died from a self-inflicted wound. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office indicated that the fatal wound suffered by Robinson was self-inflicted and was not caused by an officer as had been previously believed.
The police officer, Deputy Kelli Maness, shot Robinson after he fired several rounds at her while she tried to talk to him at a convenience store in the 3300 block of Mather Field Road. The police were called to the scene due to a domestic dispute just before 9 pm. Maness was struck by gunfire, but her bulletproof vest protected her.
The Sheriff’s Department contracts police services to Rancho Cordova. Maness is a 10-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department and is assigned to the Rancho Cordova Police Department for 18 months. Due to the incident, she was placed on paid administrative leave which is a standard practice in such cases. The Sheriff’s Department homicide unit, internal affairs and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the shooting

Sounds like a cover up to me! (probably not but I'm a sucker for the dramatic)
So are they saying he shot himself? What do they mean by self inflicted? Was this during the shooting?
