Shopping Spree for “At-Risk” Children in Rancho Cordova
Active 20-30 Club No.1 Sacramento will be hosting over 65 children at the Club’s annual “Holiday Shopping Spree.” Each child will receive a $100 gift card donated by the Active 20-30 Club No.1 Sacramento, to buy clothes at the Target store of Rancho Cordova. The event will be held on Saturday December 6th 2008 from 7:30am-9:30am at Target (10881 Olson Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670).
The participating, “at-risk” children will have the opportunity to also have their hair cut, a service donated courtesy of Salon 360° hair salon. Finally, Santa and other special guests will be on site to meet the children attending. Following the Shopping Spree, the Active 20-30 Club members will take the kids out to Sunrise Rollerland to roller skate.
Active 20-30is a volunteer group that provides young adults with the opportunity to improve the life for special needs children in their area. Active 20-30 has taken groups of children camping, to Fairytale Town, and to barbeques. Some of the charities Active 20-30 Club No. 1 have served include; United Cerebral Palsy, Wellspring Women’s Center, Family Alliance, Youth Guidance Connection and many more.
