Officials have identified the woman killed in a single car accident Wednesday night. Accident victim, Sarah Berner, 22, of Rancho Cordova died when the car overturned on light rail tracks at 9:11 p.m. near Folsom Boulevard and Mine Shaft Lane, California Highway Patrol Officer Rich Wetzel said.
No trains were involved in the single-vehicle crash and it is unclear how many people were in the car, but one person was ejected, he said. Another person was injured and has been taken to UC Davis Medical Center. CHP officers were on scene investigating the crash until 3:30 a.m. today, Wetzel said.
Crews spent hours repairing the crossing arms that were damaged in the accident, but the repairs did not disrupt train service.

She, Sarah was not driving, she was in the back seat, and it was not her car, she also was not ejected from the vehicle, according to sources she died instantly in the car!… I want to know who was driving? Was the driver intoxicated or stoned? And what is the story with the person at UC Med who was in the car? And why so fast (estimated 80 miles an hour) in that area? None of the media got it right. Sarah didn't know how to drive or have a license. Oh!… By the way, I am just thrilled no one was slightly delayed on the train commute this morining by the tragic death of a 22 year old child who died so violently. Callous S.O.B. s.
scojo- The information that was released on the 4th reported that Sarah Berner "died when her car overturned on the light rail tracks". If none of the news media got it right, it's probably because only the one report has been released at this time, and we were reporting from the information that was available. I've just called RCPD, and no new information is available at this time. I do not want to misrepresent the facts, especially on a subject such as this, where so many people are hurting. My prayers go out to the family members of the victims of this accident.

Well this is all wrong it was not her car it was a friend of mines car no one really was intoxicated enough to jack all this up i am sorry she died and for the people in the hospital are in not so good conditions and the one that got out with no bumps or bruises is lucky and i was told the guy driving lost control of the car the one in the passanger seat was not Sarah Berner it was a different girl. just sucks that this happen and the car did not flip over either and he was not going 80 in folsom that is retarted .
well u sure seem to know alot about the accident', makes u look the u were the driver. all i can say, is that iit is truely heartbreaking, even more heartbreaking to see freinds squabble over the details. also i sure hope the driver has damn good auto insurance-his insurance has to pay for the others medical bills. and sarah's parents can sue for wrongfull death. seeing as she was only a passanger. so i hope ur friend has a ton of $$$$$$. in the meanwhile you all need to growup and start acting like the adults you are supposed to be.
