Man Dies in Car Accident on Jackson Rd

A man died Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Jackson Road. The accident occurred west of Grant Line Road. Rancho Cordova police responded to a report at 3:08 p.m. and found a car had gone off the road and come to rest on its roof, according to a Police Department news release.

Paramedics pronounced the driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, dead at the scene. The driver’s name has not been released pending notification of his family. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
