Group Makes Support Video for Palin in Rancho

More than 100 Californians are appearing in a new television ad campaign this week that will be directed to Governor Sarah Palin. Because of what this group is calling bashing from the media, they’ve decided to instead thank Palin for her work in the 2008 Presidential campaign. The ad is being produced by a conservative group called Our Country Deserves Better and people from all over the country are heading to Rancho Cordova to take part.

The Republican vice president candidate received a lot of media attention during her run for office. Everything from her hairstyle, glasses and manner of speech was critiqued. Others argue that is true for any one running for public office and she shouldn’t be singled out. Our Country Deserves Better disagrees and plans on showing America another side of Sarah Palin over Thanksgiving weekend, when the advertisement will air on cable television stations across the country.

Update: 11/21- The completed video can be seen here.

Please let Sara rest in peace. If you even half believe the exit polls she was the reason that 63% of independent women voters gave as why they voted Obama. Thus, any chance McCain had was gone. She made an absolute fool of herself on the Couric interview and that sealed her fate forever!!

Please allow her to take care of Alaska and her lovely brood and let us conservatives find a duo that has at least some chance of winning.

As Gen. Colin Powell said so politely when asked on Face the Nation if he felt that Palin was qualified to be VP his response was…..puleeeeese!!!

    That said it all!!!!

  3. The group that created the video is a Political Action Committee. Our Country Deserves Better is a PAC, so they can only spend donations on political actions. I think it's cool that they chose your community to do it in, so you probably got some residual benefit out of it.

Personally, I think this was a great thing to do. She is an icon of all that's great about America. The media isn't laughing at Sarah Palin the person, they are laughing and mocking everything that we, as conservatives with common sense hold dear. Let the soup lines form around Obama. He'll create government jobs out of thin air, on our dime. We deserve better, only if we are willing to fight for the patriots like Sarah Palin.

I would have voted for a woman for president if I thought she was the better candidate. Whether the candidate has the right plumbing is not part of my decision process.

The couric interview was more than fair, even soft – Palin was incoherent, as she usually appears to be when she is not reading from a teleprompter or a memorized speech someone else has written for her. You want to blame someone else for her behavior, but its not the media's fault she can't speak about anything outside what happens in her own state. She sure does know how to lie, though. .

No, they are just laughing at Sarah Palin, like the rest of us in the country who had the common sense to realize voting for this woman, who would have been a heartbeat away from the presidency, would have been suicide for all of us. She's not only a moron, she's an egomaniac who has proven she will use the power of her office to do whatever she wants. This is not someone I'd want to have her hand on the nuclear trigger.

I can't see a damned thing that's Patriotic about her – Patriots think about their country before themselves, and that's NOT Sarah Palin. Patriots don't use fear, lies and division to try and win an election – the FBI had to tell her her speeches were inciting violence against her opponent (but that didn't stop her). She intimated that parts of the country were not "real america." She gives a speech for a group her husband belonged to that believed Alaska should leave the union. Yeah, she's a great patriot.

I'm one of those independent women voters – I voted for Bush twice (sorry about that USA). No way could I vote for McCain/Palin, especially because of Palin. Independent voters are now 1/3 of the voting public and more Democrats register and vote than Republicans. So, if you don't put a team forward that the independent voters (male or female) can believe in, you might as well forget it.

Waste of $50,000 on thanking Palin. Not sure what to do with the money, make a donation in her name. Here is a resource for suggestions: http://www.learningtogive.org/resources/foun.asp Those who want to blame the "liberal media" for Palin's demise are delusional. Her lack of intelligent responses in interviews, being a heartbeat away from the presidency and focus on non issues (such as Ayers) during the campaign, were the reasons for her unpopularity. Her best speech was the first, at the RNC, and she didn't write it. Her delivery was awesome. Had she kept the momentum and sounded as brilliant as she did that night throughout the campaign – McCain could have won. Any other time she spoke after that was a nightmare. As a woman in a leadership position, I cringed at her lack of informed responses during the Couric and Gibson interviews. Even when she spoke after the election she still didn't directly answer questions most of the time and was vague about how she would specifically change things. She has a lot to learn and that is a reality. The one talk she did deliver well was to a group where she spoke about special needs. I thought she was the most eloquent then – she actually promised the government would fully fund special education if she and McCain got into office – something that has never been done since legislation was enacted in the 70s. Please, put Sarah to rest. Pushing her on us with Ads that waste money make it seem that only those without a clue follow her.

  9. If you think this person is ready tlo ead our nation , you have been asleep yhe past 11 weeks. She is a divisive and polorizing figure on the campaign trail. Her lies during and after the the election are on You tube.At the gathering of republican governors she did not have one idea to put forth. I hope she does get the nomination in 2012 because I believe Pres. elect Obama will easily defeat the Gov.!!

"Look who you people elected – the most inexperienced candidate in US history!"

As opposed to the governor of the nation's smallest state {in population}, who, as mayor of a town of 5,000, took it from zero net debt to $20 million in debt . . .

    Yep, that's real "experience."

You think the FF would "turn over in their graves at the changes . . . and the way the Constitution is being thought of" . . . you mean like warrantless wiretapping, suspension of habeas corpus, and extraordinary rendition?

I believe you when you say you minored in US History. It's obvious you didn't major in it.
