The Cordova Park and Recreation District is inviting community member to help  ”wrap up” the year long Birthday celebration and celebrate the unveiling of their new theme for 2009!  Families can come to the Cordova Community Center on Tuesday, December 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to join in the celebration. The event is free to the public and everyone is asked to bring an unwrapped, new toy or a can of food for the Cordova Food Locker. There will be snacks to enjoy, cookies to decorate and Santa will be available for pictures.  

Supporting the local food locker is a fantastic and selfless way to suppor those in need. The Cordova Community Food Locker is located at 10497 Coloma Rd, and is on the grounds of St. John Vianney Church. THe locker is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 1:30.
