Veterans Day Celebration

Tuesday, November 11 is Veterans Day. The City of Rancho Cordova and the VA Northern California Health Care System is hosting the third annual Veterans Day Celebration at the Veterans Memorial Plaza (10535 Hospital Way, Mather) at 10:00 a.m. The community is invited to attend the event and to show their gratitude to the courageous men and women who have honored, protected and sacrificed for our great nation.

The following offices will be closed Tuesday in honor of Veterans Day:

• Federal offices

• State offices

• U.S. Postal Service offices

• Sacramento public libraries

• El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento and Yolo county offices

• Auburn, Citrus Heights, Davis, Elk Grove, Folsom, Galt, Lincoln, Placerville, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Sacramento, Woodland and West Sacramento city offices

• El Dorado Transit

• Placer Commuter Express

• Roseville Transit Commuter Service

The following offices and services are open Tuesday:

• Sacramento Municipal Utility District

• Placer County Transit

• Roseville Transit Fixed Route

• Sacramento Regional Transit will operate a weekday schedule, but trips marked “H” will not operate

• YoloBus will operate on a holiday schedule
