A Rancho Cordova man plead guilty to transporting child pornography and possession of material that contained child pornography on Monday. George Stohlberg III, 58, who was a computer technician for the Elk Grove Unified School District admitted to collecting child pornography beginning in 1993 or 1994.
Last year America Online intercepted two videos that showed two girls engaged in sexually explicit conduct distributed by on AOL user, later identified as Stohlberg. A press release from the office of U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott said that this brought Stohlberg to the attention of law enforcement who then obtained the necessary warrants to seize and search his computers. Stohlbergs hard drives and a DVD were found to contain 13 videos and more than 30,000 still images of child pornography. Some depicted previously identified child sexual abuse victims.
