Lancers Lose 7th Game of Season

The loss drops the Lancers to 1-7 on the season and improves the Bulldogs record to 7-1. Coming up next week the Lancers face Christian Brothers. The Falcons enter the game with a 6-2 record in the Sierra Valley League after a 19-0 win over Galt. The Falcons stand atop the Sierra Valley League standings while the Lancers languish at the bottom.
The Falcons have outscored their oponents by +117 points this season while Cordova has given up -175 more points than they have scored. On offense the Falcons are led by quarterback Michael Lahey, a junior with 601 passing yards on the season, and Josh Tucker a senior with 1,247 yards rushing on 149 attempts.
Josh Tucker, a 5′10″ senior tailback with 10 touchdowns and an 8.3 yard per carry average and over 155 yards per game anchors the offense. He is supported by Marcus McDaniel who has contributed 7 touchdowns and 589 yards on the season. The Falcons dominating defense is anchored by linebackers Ryan Lutz and Jamie Borup. The two have combined for 189 tackles on the season and both average double digits in tackles per game.
