The cold weather is on its way and we’ve seen the last of the 80’s for a while… or so the weatherman says. But for those of us who have a little harder time letting go of the longer, warmer days of summer, this photo contest is sure to put a smile on your face. Whether you scrapbook, Facebook, Flickr or stash your family photos in an actual album, you have a shot at winning this season’s photo contest.

The rules are simple.

1. The photographer must be a resident of Rancho Cordova

2. The photo must be taken within city limits

3. The photo must represent the theme of the contest- “Recapturing Summer”.

Entering is even simpler.

1. Email your photos with your contact information to me, at: Michelle@RanchoCordovaPost.com

The winning photo will be chosen by the number of voters. To vote, simply make a comment on the photo(s) you enjoy the most. The photo with the most comments wins.

(It is completely fair and legal for photographers to encourage, urge, and beg for votes from friends and family members).

Weatherize Your Home Today. Save Tomorrow.

Lloyd Throne, Director of the California Department of Community Services and Development, says “Weatherization reduces average annual energy costs per household by about $358 during the first year. For every $1 invested in weatherization, $1.53 is returned in energy related benefits”. That’s pretty significant, especially if it leaves you feeling more comfortable this winter.
