On September 29, thieves broke in to the Hagan Haunted Mansion and stole more than $35,000 in props, parts and electronic equipment. Since then, a call has been sent out to the community and you have stepped up. The Hagan Haunted Mansion will go on.

Each year the students of Scary U design, create and run the haunted house so many Rancho Cordovans have come to love. But these guys aren’t just playing around… they’re good at what they do… really good. In fact, in 2004 the Terror Train won the much coveted Golden Bucky Award for the best professional haunted house in America. Then, in 2006 they won a Golden Bucky for th best indoor haunt in the world. Pretty impressive.

Scary U is a youth development program that begins in early September and runs through the beginning of November. The students create the haunted attraction and then learn how to run it as a business. Scary U is a production of Jewell Performing Arts Center, Inc., a non profit, educational corporation that focuses on youth development through performing arts projects.

Luckily for us, the show will go on for the students of Scary U. After last months disheartening set back, the students are now prepared to give us a good scare. The Hagan Haunted Mansion is located at Hagan Park, and will be open on Friday and Saturday nights on the 24th-25th and 31st of October and the 1st of November.
