Homeowner Shoots Alleged Thief

The Sacramento Sheriffs Department is investigating a shooting in Rancho Cordova Wednesday afternoon. Deputies say that a homeowner on Vehicle Drive apparently shot a man three times. The homeowner claims the man was trying to break into his home. The victim of the shooting has been taken to the hospital and it is not yet clear of the severity of the injuries.
