GenCorp Execs Leave Company

GenCorp Inc. replaced its chief financial officer and controller on Monday, September 29th. The Rancho Cordova aerospace and real estate company underwent a big management change in March of this year and both executives were from previous management at Aerojet’s parent company, GenCorp.

Man Murdered in Gas Station Parking Lot

Police responded to a emergency call early Sunday morning to find a man with a serious gunshot wound in his upper torso. The shooting occurred at 1:22 a.m. on Sunday the 28th on the 1000 block of Folsom Blvd.

What is the best dining experience you’ve ever had? A few years ago I ate at a joint in San Francisco called Asia De Cuba. This fusion restaurant had spectacular ambiance and the feel of a hip club with its dim lights, pulsating beats, trendy décor, and exotic menu. Our group enjoyed four hours of eating and sitting together and we were never rushed to leave. The bill was substantial, but the unique experience was worth the high cost.

Cordova Football Falls to Florin 3-47

The Lancers lost to Forin HS on Friday night by a score of 3 to 47 in a non conference game at home. This game was the Homecoming for the Lancers who now fall to 1-2 overall on the season. With the loss the Lancers fall to 5th place in the Sierra Valley League.

California Electronic Asset Recovery, Inc., a state approved electronic waste collector and recycler are providing a free e-waste collection for area residents.

No More Text Messaging While Driving

On September 24th, Governor Schwarzenegger signed a law making it illegal for California drivers to send or even read text messages. With the recent law in July that banned talking on the phone while driving and not wearing a hands-free device, there has been an increase in text message related accidents.
