Free E-Waste Collection

Sep 25th, 2008 | By Michelle Ventress | Category: Featured, Mather, Neighbors

California Electronic Asset Recovery, Inc., a state approved electronic waste collector and recycler are providing a free e-waste collection for area residents. Drop off begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 4th and ends at 2 p.m.  Clean out the garage and bring your old electronics to Mather Heights Elementary School at 4370 Mather School Rd.

A list of items that will be collected include: monitors, televisions, keyboards, desktop and notebook PCs, VCRs, stereo equipment, digital cameras, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

The best part is that you don’t even need to get out of your car because the items will be unloaded for you! All proceeds of donated items will benefit Mather Heights Elementary School.  So if you have a pile of electronics that you don’t use anymore, there’s an option that doesn’t include a landfill. Plus, there’s the added bonus of the warm, fuzzy feeling you’ll get because you will be helping out a local school.
