New Community Events Calendar

All of us at the Rancho Cordova Post are excited about everything the community has to offer. With the heavy involvement of organizations in our area, there’s almost always something to do. Whether it’s fundraisers, school functions, or annual festivals, we’ll have it covered on our community calendar.

Candidate Statement: Mark Bahouth

As a SMUD Director, I will use my experience as a Folsom Utility Commissioner and businessman to ensure SMUD operates effectively and efficiently. During my thirteen years in business management at Intel Corporation, I oversaw the budget and operations of a multi-billion dollar company. As a Folsom Utility Commissioner, I worked to keep water rates low while investing in needed capital improvements to ensure clean and safe drinking water.

“Scooter Bandit” Robbing Area Banks

Two area banks have been robbed recently by a man wearing a helmet. The nick-named “Scooter Bandit” is accused of robbing a Washington Mutual Bank in Rancho Cordova on April 23 and of a second robbery at Wachovia Bank in Gold River on August 22.
