A chillier morning than we’ve seen in some time and Halloween candy lining store shelves can only mean one thing: Autumn is on it’s way. Summer is a fabulous season offering longer days, the chance for family vacations, and my personal favorite-an ever increasing reason to get pedicures. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. But with the end of longer days, many people also say farewell, at least for a while, to the activities of our warmest time of the year. It’s time to start prepping the swimming pool for the dormant season. The hammock- yep, it needs protection from the winter elements if you plan on getting any use out of it come spring. And finally, we must consider the grill.
Ahh the grill. The two most important men in my life have a special place in their hearts for their grills. Gas or charcoal, the $2000 top of the line model that will cook enough food for the neighborhood, or the discount model that more than pleases a small family of two. The grill has stolen our hearts and made barbecuing and art form. Many families have barbecued all summer long and deserve a little break from the great steak maker in the back yard.
As a connoisseur of the finer points of grilling, perhaps you know of an exceptional burger restaurant. If you can appreciate a great burger and know where to find one in Rancho Cordova, please share the love. We at the Post want to know what you think of our area restaurants, parks, businesses and more. Every week we’ll give you the opportunity to tell it like it is, and share with us your favorite places. You get to choose the Best Of Rancho. To kick things off, and to salute the passing days of summer, we are searching for the Best Burger in Town. Tell us what you think.

Best Burger in Town — Jaspar’s in the KMart shopping center (Sunrise at Coloma)!
I’ve not sampled too many burgers in Rancho because I’m not a huge burger guy. I will say though that I LOVE In-N-Out Burger. Technically I get a “grilled cheese animal style” when I go there, so it may not necessarily qualify as a burger, but it sure is mouth watering.
how about superb burger near the post office on olsen drive, they have great curly fries too
In Rancho Cordova, I would have to say, my best burger comes from my own back yard! BBQed by my husband! As for going out for a burger…hate to say but we go beyond our borders and head to Citrus Heights for a Red Robin fix when we want a good burger. Now if the powers that be could see fit to open a Red Robin here on the Ranch…well, things would change.
