Happy Birthday Rancho Cordova!

On July 1st, the city of Rancho Cordova will celebrate its fifth year of cityhood. The city is having a birthday bash fitting to the unique and ever growing community we live in.  The Big Party will be held on Tuesday, July 1st from 5 to 8:30p.m. at the Rancho Cordova City Hall.

Man’s body found in river at former Goethe Park

A Rancho Cordova woman who was fishing in the American River with her husband early Saturday evening, June 14th,  said they found a man’s clothed body floating near the bank at River Bend Park, formerly known as Goethe Park. Read more at the SacBee.com

Rancho Cordova Murder Suspects Arrested

Two young men suspected of the murder of William “Billy” Deer, have been booked on charges of robbery, torture and murder. Deer was found severely beaten, the morning of June 7th, 2008 on Mills Station Rd.  He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 12:20 the same day.

Eleven year old Vanessa Hernandez was last seen Tuesday evening leaving her babysitters’ apartment on Coloma Road, near Benita Drive.
