On July 1st, the city of Rancho Cordova will celebrate its fifth year of cityhood. The city is having a birthday bash fitting to the unique and ever growing community we live in. The Big Party will be held on Tuesday, July 1st from 5 to 8:30p.m. at the Rancho Cordova City Hall.
Every year, hundreds of people come together to organize and execute the greatest Fourth of July Celebration in the area. Two young men suspected of the murder of William “Billy” Deer, have been booked on charges of robbery, torture and murder. Deer was found severely beaten, the morning of June 7th, 2008 on Mills Station Rd. He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 12:20 the same day.
