Sports Cap Robber gets 7 years for bank robbery

$Brian Scott Traynor dubbed \$ Brian Scott Traynor, a 42 year old white male, was sentenced Monday in Federal court on 7 counts of bank robbery. The Rancho Cordova man pled guilty to committing two bank robberies and confessed to involvement in five more between August 2005 and March 2007. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $37,650, the total of his ill gotten gains from the seven bank robberies. Traynor faced a maximum of 40 years in prison for the bank robbery charges and a three year term of federal supervised release. He was sentenced to 7 years in federal prison.

Panel to discuss energy use and climate change at Rancho Cordova Library

The Rancho Cordova library will host a forum this Sunday on energy, climate change and American security. The forum will take place at 1pm in the library located at 9845 Folsom Blvd., Rancho Cordova.

Police Chief Wrecks Motorcycle Causing $10,000 damage

Ruben Meeks, Rancho Cordova’s Chief of Police, was involved in a single vehicle low speed collision in Natomas Park on March 8th which caused more than $10,000 damage to his department provided police motorcycle.
