As we watch the news, or read the paper, we see a lot of disasters taking place. Living in Rancho Cordova we are very fortunate that we don’t have hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, volcanoes, mudslides or wildfires. We could face issues with blackouts, drought, house fire or thunder storms. Could we face a flood from a break in Folsom or Nimbus dams? What about the “Big earthquake” we hear about that is due?

Looking for Generation Rx

 $14 million raised to launch pharmacy school in Rancho Cordova
A group of local pharmacists and other backers have raised $14 million to launch a pharmacy school in Rancho Cordova this summer, targeting a statewide shortage at a time when demand is growing.

Veterans honored at Mather Veterans Memorial Plaza

Today, there will be a Veterans Day observance at Mather Veterans Memorial Plaza, at the Sacramento VA Medical Center, 10535 Hospital Way. The program is scheduled to run from 10 to 11 a.m.
