For as long as anyone can remember, the Truckee River median had been an eyesore for the folks of Sunriver. Bare dirt punctuated with discarded trash and weeds was all the island offered, all 1500 square feet of it. When Sacramento County embarked upon a major renovation effort to the medians and walkways bordering both Sunrise Boulevard and Coloma Road, this one median was somehow excluded.
