American River Salmon Festival celebrates 11th year
On October 13th and 14th the American River Salmon Festival celebrates is 11th year in operation. The annual festival held at the Nimbus fish hatchery and Lake Natoma features entertainment, education, and fun for the whole family.
The festival is a joint event of the Nimbus Hatchery, Lake Natoma, American River Parkway, and city of Rancho Cordova.
The entertainment features music by the Gold Coast Music Group, the Boogie Shooz, the Bayou Boys and much more. There will be food, art displays, fish ponds, American Indian demonstrations and more.
The activities for kids include games, educational displays, coloring contests and an appearance by Seemore Salmon. There should be something there for the entire family.
The festival runs from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
